Learning Outside the Classroom (LOTC)

It is the view at Greenbank that every student should experience the world beyond the classroom as an essential part of learning and personal development, whatever their age, ability or circumstances. Many of our students are experiential learners and for other students learning outside the classroom gives the opportunity to transfer skills to different settings. When planning any educational visits or activities staff will always complete a risk benefit assessment to ensure that any risks can be effectively managed and that the benefits of the visit can be enjoyed by all taking part. School also have an EVC (Educational Visits Coordinator) Policy outlining the procedures and guiding principles of Educational Visits at Greenbank.
